Turtle Races Now at the World Aquarium

Turtle Races Now at the World Aquarium

Remember when you were a kid and the idea of racing turtles came to mind. Hey, wait, turtles are supposed to be slow, but they can sure get speed up. All of the box turtles at the World Aquarium are orphans and now they get a chance to run like the bulls of Pamplona, every Saturday at 2:00 PM.

Racing the turtles is good for them since they get extra exercise and who doesn't need a little extra exercise. The turtles are also put on a special high performance diet during the racing season in order to get them in the spirit and mode for get-up and go. Racing turtles also gives them enrichment especially when being cheered on by the energetic on lookers.

Visitors can also choose which turtles might win the race. People who choose the winner of the turtle race will receive a certificate to redeem at the World Aquarium's Wonders of Waters giftshop.
